    NATA Convention Volleyball Tournament
    Players and enthusiasts yet again proclaimed Dallas is the destination for Volleyball. The tournament was organized by North American Telugu Association. The tournament was conducted as part of the run up towards NATA Convention happening in Dallas in May 2016. The tournament was one of the best organized tournaments under the leadership of NMS Reddy (NATA Convention Sports Chair), Balki Chamkura, Raj Gondhi (Co-Chairs) and countless volunteers. 18 teams with over 200+ players and volunteers participated in a tournament conducted with finesse and energetic attributions. The venue was the world class Sportsplex. Players showed what all termed paramount enthusiasm and discipline in every game. The organizers felt the games were no less than world class type. The organizers ensured justice to budding teams and introduced new format so all players could enjoy the spirit of the game. As some teams showed their zeal to win the games, some showed the essence of coming along as a team and participating in the fun filled tournament. The games progressed with full exhilaration. Spikes, jumps, smashes immaculated the proceedings. Two formats allowed the players to have brim of excitement. NATA National Cup: Winners – ‘Chaos’ Runner – ‘Punjab Lions’ NATA Colaberry Cup: Winners – ‘Spiders’ Runners – ‘Snipers 2’ At the beginning speaking to the media, Convention Sports Chair of NATA NMS Reddy welcomed the players to the sporting tournament. He mentioned sports have always been a special focus to the Telugu community in Dallas and requested players to show the true spirit of the game. He thanked sponsor Colaberry Inc. for co-sponsoring the event. He provided a plethora of sport activities in the upcoming weeks and requested all to participate. NATA Dallas Convention Coordinator Ramsurya Reddy, Convention Cultural Chair Darga Nagi Reddy, Convention Banquet Advisor Jaychandra Reddy, Committee member Sudhakar Reddy, Umamahesh Reddy Kurri, sports committee co-chairs Balki Chamkura, Raj Gondhi alongside members Murali Kondepati, Raju Chekuri, Murali Palla, Rajendra Madala, Shaker Brahmadevara, Chenna Reddy, Madhu Mallu, Bapu Nuthi, Ravi Arimanda, Subbu Damireddy, Venkat Danda, Satheesh Bala Mahesh Adibhatla, Nagi Reddy, and many others provided logistical support for a great showdown. Later NMS Reddy thanked volunteers, sponsors, players and media partners (Aina TV) for promoting the event, Sportsplex for providing the facility, Paradise Biryani Pointe for providing relishing lunch to all players and volunteers.
